Terms of service

Terms of service

Aster & Vale is operated by Makree Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16927412, registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. By ordering from this site you agree to these terms.

Prices

All prices are in pounds sterling and include import duty and taxes payable on the way to you. Delivery is free on orders of £75 and over, and £5.99 below that. We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order.

How an order is formed

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we email you to confirm dispatch. If we cannot fulfil an order — a piece is unavailable, or a price was listed in error — we tell you and refund you in full.

What you are buying

Our stones are moissanite: a laboratory-grown silicon carbide gemstone. It is not a diamond and we do not sell it as one. Metal is 925 sterling silver with rhodium or champagne gold plating unless a product page says otherwise.

Photographs are taken under studio lighting and stones are often shown enlarged so the cut is visible. Screens vary. Carat figures refer to stone size; ring sizes follow the numeric chart given on each product page.

Payment

Payment is taken in full at checkout, by the methods shown there. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card number.

Returns and warranty

Governed by our returns, refunds and warranty policy, which forms part of these terms.

Care and safety

Sterling silver tarnishes and plating wears. Remove jewellery before swimming, showering, sleeping and exercise, keep it away from perfume and cleaning products, and store it dry. Small pieces are not toys — keep them away from young children.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, photography and the Aster & Vale name — belongs to us and may not be reproduced without our written permission.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, or our liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
